This is my all time favorite business book. A must read for small business owners or managers (as far as I’m concerned). I’ve bought no less than 10 copies for distribution as gifts to fellow business owners.

The book details how to structure your business and business idea into a series of processes so that the owner/manager can empower staff to make good and proper decisions and so they understand the direction of the company.

Simple, but powerful stuff…especially for the owner/manager that has a hard time letting go of responsibilities because they don’t think anyone else can do them…. or has had trouble in the past developing systems/processes.

The sub-title is “Companies That Choose to Be Great Instead of Big”. I know that’s our goal….and if it’s yours, give it a read.

Yes, there were parts I blew by, but there’s some interesting reading on how different businesses have handled various issues and how these decisions have helped them further their greatness goal.

Anybody with a short temper and the inability to keep their mouth shut when they’re mad needs to at least glance at some of the chapters in this book.

Trust me you will benefit….thankfully I love everyone I work with.

A great read. A fictional tale about a newly hired CEO at a struggling company teaches hard truths about organizing a team, developing enthusiasm and trust.

It was suggested to me by a guy I was sitting next to on a flight. The next flight I had it and several others who saw me reading it commented it was a great read…and it was.

If you are in a leadership position – heck, if you are part of a team – read it now. Very easy read – a few hours at best.
